A little about me!
I am a graduate of the University of Lethbridge. I graduated in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Management.
I also have a background in management and am looking forward to bringing my knowledge of business and technology to the classroom environment.
I grew up in Leduc, Alberta and graduated there, from Leduc Composite High School. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was very young. I was inspired by my grade 2 teacher Mrs. Burak, who always took the extra time to let the students know she cared. I started my post-secondary education at Red Deer College in the Education program and veered off the education track a bit to pursue management. Taking the time to finish my management degree isn't something I regret, I learned a lot from the courses and had some fabulous experiences, however I wish I would have stayed on track with my Education degree. I've always wanted to be in the classroom and last semester when I taught a Grade 6 class, this helped me confirm that I want to be a teacher for sure.
I enjoy playing sports - especially soccer and snowboarding. I live an active lifestyle and love competing in pretty much any sport.
I really enjoy spending time with friends and family and also love to travel. I have travelled to Europe, (England and France) Mexico, Cuba, and Costa Rica.
Thanks for checking out my site. Be sure to check out my blog for updates about my student teaching experiences and to find some great teaching resources.
